Gov. Rick Scott Re-Appoints True Crime Author Joe Bruno’s Daughter, Sarasota Attorney Nancy Cason, to Judicial Nominating Commission
Real estate attorney Nancy E. Cason, a partner of Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A., has been re-appointed to the Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission by Governor Rick Scott. Ms. Cason, 38, will serve on the nominating commission for a three-year term ending July 1, 2019. This is her second term on the commission; she served previously from 2011 to 2015. The re-appointment was announced by the Governor on April 29.
The Twelfth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is tasked with selecting nominees to fill judicial vacancies created in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit (consisting of Sarasota, Manatee and Desoto counties)which are designated to be filled via appointment by the Governor’s office.

Ms. Cason joined the firm in 1998 and was made partner in 2006. She has previously served as a Managing Partner of the firm, and is a current member of the Sarasota County Bar Association Board of Directors, holding the position of Treasurer. She was awarded her Juris Doctorate degree, with high honors, in 2002 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. /end
